About the Larchmont-Edgewater Civic League |
|
The Larchmont-Edgewater Civic League is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that strives to promote good fellowship among residents and property owners in the Larchmont and Edgewater neighborhoods in the western part of Norfolk, Virginia.
The civic league encourages residents to unite for cooperation and interchange of ideas for the members' interest and to further the best interest of the participating neighborhoods. Focus areas include beautification, recreation, safety and protection of its citizens and their property investments.
The civic league meets quarterly at Larchmont United Methodist Church on the corner of Jamestown Crescent and Monroe Place. Meetings are usually on a Thursday in December, March, June and September. Additional meetings are called as needed. All meetings start at 7:30 p.m.
Before all civic league meetings, signs are placed on major streets to inform residents. Meeting dates also are published in a civic league newsletter distributed to each home and are posted on this Web site.
